Structural Design Engineer, William Zhang is a chartered structural engineer with 40-year extensive experience in computational structural/mechanical/geotechnical modelling and analyses. He has specialty in structural detailing, construction supports, and site inspection. His modeling work includes transient/vibration dynamic analyses for wind/earthquake; quasi-static analysis for moving vehicles and machinery; time-dependent analysis for shrinkage/creep; secondary (geometrical) analysis for slender building swaying or steel structures; soil/foundation/pile interaction analyses; post crack analyses for structural members etc. He has successfully delivered the structural design, structural assessment and geotechnical supports in more than one hundred projects of bridges, tunnels, buildings and other infrastructure types.  He understands very well all commonly used structure configurations and materials.  He has also high-level research skills which enable him to deal well in new and complicated project situations.  He received PhD and B.S. in Structural Engineering from the prestigious universities.  He has professional qualifications of MIStructE, CPEng, NPER, and RPEQ.
